AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR THE SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING MINORITY ENGINEERING PROGRAM, WHICH PROVIDES ACADEMIC SUPPORT SERVICES TO MINORITY UNDERGRADUATES MAJORING IN ENGINEERING, MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of funding the school of engineering minority engineering program, which provides academic support services to minority undergraduates majoring in engineering, mathematics and science. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
