AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO DETERMINE THE FEASIBILITY OF ESTABLISHING A PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOL FOR THE ARTS IN NORTHERN NEW MEXICO.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of determining the feasibility of creating a public secondary school for the arts in Espanola in Rio Arriba county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
