AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO EXPAND AND ENHANCE PROGRAMS AT THE CLAYTON LIVESTOCK RESEARCH CENTER.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

A. One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 to expand and enhance programs at the Clayton livestock research center. The appropriation shall be distributed in the following amounts to the following entities:

(1) thirty-eight thousand six hundred dollars ($38,600) to the cooperative extension service; and

(2) sixty-one thousand four hundred dollars ($61,400) to the agricultural experiment station.

B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
