AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE THREE NEW MEXICO PUBLIC TELEVISION STATIONS TO REPLACE OBSOLETE BROADCAST EQUIPMENT AND PLAN FOR FUTURE TECHNOLOGY NEEDS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eight hundred fifty thousand dollars ($850,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the educational television equipment replacement fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 and subsequent fiscal years for the purpose of replacing the three public educational television stations' obsolete broadcast equipment and to plan for future technology needs. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
