AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR AN ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION COORDINATOR IN THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eighty thousand dollars ($80,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of funding the full-time position of environmental education coordinator. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
