HOUSE BILL 162



has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:



1. On page 1, line 19, after the period insert:



"The environmental education coordinator shall work with the help and advice of the environmental education advisory council to bring forth all view points and concerns for environmental education and natural resources programming as presented by the advisory council. The council shall consist of volunteers who represent industry, agriculture, nonprofit organizations, state and federal agencies, institutions of higher learning, educators, private sector business and the public at large. These individuals shall also represent the geographic diversity of the state. Members of the council shall be invited to participate through the cooperative effort between the waste-management education and research consortium and the state land office. The purpose of the environmental education coordinator is to increase awareness of existing environmental education and natural resources programming resources among formal and non-formal educators, students in pre-service programs, teachers in in-service programs and other resource staff at the university level and in public, private and home schools.".,



and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
