AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND MATHEMATICS, SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING ACHIEVEMENT PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE STATE.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the New Mexico institute of mining and technology for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 to contract to provide mathematics, engineering and science achievement programs to school districts throughout the state. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
