AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SUPPORT OF SERVICES FOR ADDITIONAL PERSONS UNDER THE STATE'S DISABLED AND ELDERLY MEDICAID WAIVER PROGRAM.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 to provide or contract for services for persons not currently being served but eligible for the state's disabled and elderly medicaid waiver program. Priority shall be given to providing services to disabled and elderly individuals who are abused, neglected or at risk or who have been harmed. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
