AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION TO PROVIDE VARIOUS FAMILY AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMS, CLASSES AND SERVICES AT THE FAMILY FOCUS CENTER AT ZIA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN ALBUQUERQUE.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 to provide for various programs and services at the family focus center at Zia elementary school in Albuquerque, including adult and evening classes, parenting classes, programs for pre-school children, mentoring programs, latch-key care, homeless outreach and an English as a second language program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
