Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. Strike House Education Committee Amendments 5 and 6.

2. On page 2, line 4, strike "not more than three" and insert in lieu thereof "large, medium and small".

3. On page 2, line 5, strike "or clusters".

4. On page 3, line 14, strike "Before" and insert in lieu thereof "After".

5. On page 3, line 15, before the comma insert "and the state board approves the application".

6. On page 3, line 20, after the period insert:

"A majority of those voting must vote in favor of the school district becoming a charter school district.".

7. On page 3, lines 22 through 25, strike Subsection B in its entirety.

8. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.
