AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO FUND THE LATIN AMERICAN INSTITUTE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($175,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of funding the Latin American Institute. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
