MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE SUPPORT OF YOUTH PROGRAMS TO DEVELOP CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY AND LEADERSHIP.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of sponsoring statewide holistic programs providing healthy youth activities that develop civic responsibility and leadership and provide confidence and a sense of accomplishment. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
