AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO DEVELOP A PLAN OF ACTION FOR CREATING THE NORTHERN NAVAJO MUSEUM AND HISTORY CENTER.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of developing a plan of action and beginning to collect artifacts and other materials for the northern Navajo museum and history center in Shiprock in San Juan county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
