AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE FUNDING TO CREATE A VISITORS INTERPRETIVE CENTER AT THE FOUR CORNERS MONUMENT IN SAN JUAN COUNTY.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the tourism department for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to join the states of Colorado, Utah and Arizona in matching federal funds to develop an interpretive center at the Four Corners monument in San Juan county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
