AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A STATEWIDE TRADITIONAL FAMILY HEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAM.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 for the purpose of supporting a statewide program to educate low-income families on traditional non-medical health care techniques, nutrition and home first aid, including publication and distribution of health handbooks and first-aid kits. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
