AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SUPPORT OF HEALTH SCIENCE STUDENTS SERVING IN RURAL AREAS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred four thousand five hundred dollars ($204,500) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 for the purpose of supporting a rural clinical experience program for health professional students through area health education centers in various areas of the state. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
