AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE SERVICES FOR PERSONS WITH THE HUMAN IMMUNODEFICIENCY VIRUS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 for the purpose of providing statewide services, including prescriptions drugs, for persons with the human immunodeficiency virus. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
