AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR IMPROVED INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FOR THE NEW MEXICO HEALTH POLICY COMMISSION PROGRAM TO REDUCE HEALTH REPORTING BURDENS BY BOTH THE PRIVATE AND PUBLIC SECTORS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico health policy commission for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 for the purpose of acquiring information technology for use in streamlining health information reporting by private businesses to government agencies. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
