AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION DIVISION OF THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONTRACTING WITH A CONSUMER-CONTROLLED, COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES SERVICES TO PEOPLE WITH BRAIN INJURIES IN BERNALILLO COUNTY.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the vocational rehabilitation division of the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 for the purpose of contracting with a consumer-controlled, community-based organization that provides services to people with brain injuries in Bernalillo county. The organization shall provide people with brain injuries with career development services, peer support services, counseling services and socialization services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
