AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION IN SUPPORT OF A "BEST PRACTICE" DRUG PROGRAM FOR MENTALLY ILL SCHIZOPHRENICS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million one hundred seven thousand dollars ($1,107,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 for the purpose of supporting the continuation of a "best practice" drug program for use on mentally ill persons suffering from schizophrenia. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
