AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROMOTE STUDY IN SPAIN BY UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO STUDENTS AND TO PROMOTE RELATED EXCHANGE ACTIVITIES WITH SPANISH UNIVERSITIES.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to fund efforts by the Latin American and Iberian institute of the university of New Mexico to promote study in Spain by university of New Mexico students and to promote related exchange activities with Spanish universities. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
