AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONTRACT FOR DEVELOPMENT OF A PLAN FOR AN EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AT THE INSTITUTE OF AMERICAN INDIAN ARTS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to contract for development of a plan to establish an early childhood development program to be housed at the institute of American Indian arts in Santa Fe. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
