AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR EXPANDED ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TECHNOLOGICAL COMMUNICATION CAPABILITY BETWEEN MEXICO AND NEW MEXICO.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy thousand dollars ($70,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to allow the university of New Mexico and New Mexico state university to expand availability of online agricultural, business and government information to participants in the annual border governors conference as well as to New Mexico businesses, educational institutions and state agencies to improve New Mexico's export business with Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
