AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE TOURISM DEPARTMENT TO ASSIST THE GALLUP INTERTRIBAL INDIAN CEREMONIAL ASSOCIATION WITH EFFORTS TO DEVELOP AN ARCHIVE FOR CEREMONIAL ARTIFACTS AND PROMOTE INDIAN CEREMONIAL ACTIVITIES.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred forty thousand dollars ($240,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the tourism department for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to assist the Gallup intertribal Indian ceremonial association with efforts to develop an archive for ceremonial artifacts and promote Indian ceremonial activities. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
