AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR HOTEL, RESTAURANT AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

A. Three hundred eighty thousand dollars ($380,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to enhance the hotel, restaurant and tourism management programs in the college of agriculture and home economics in the following amounts for the following departments:

(1) one hundred ninety thousand dollars ($190,000) for the cooperative extension service;

(2) and one hundred ninety thousand dollars ($190,000) for the agriculture experiment station.

B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
