AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DNA IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM FUND TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES AND SERVICES AND TO HIRE PERSONNEL FOR THE OPERATION OF THE DNA IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty-five thousand dollars ($155,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the DNA identification system fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 and subsequent fiscal years to purchase equipment, supplies and services and to hire personnel for the operation of the DNA identification system. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
