AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PURCHASE MATERIALS AND TO CONSTRUCT HOMES FOR INDIGENT VETERANS LIVING ON TRIBAL LAND IN THE FOUR CORNERS AREA.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million six hundred thousand dollars ($1,600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal years 2001 through 2003 to purchase materials and to construct homes for indigent veterans living on tribal land in the four corners area in New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
