Synopsis of SJC Amendment



The Senate Judiciary Committee's amendments adds provisions requiring:



     Synopsis of HFl #1 Amendment



House Floor Amendment Number 1 strikes the HAFC amendment and inserts language requiring the Attorney General to assist in negotiations of the proposed lease for the purpose of: (1) ensuring the State's interests are protected; and (b) any sublease provisions comply with the provisions of the Procurement Code and other applicable laws.



     Synopsis of HAFC Amendment



The House Appropriations and Finance Committee amendment adds the provision of Attorney General oversight regarding the leasing of the facility.





Synopsis of Original Bill



House Joint Resolution 18 proposes ratification and approval of a term lease to Santa Fe County of a building of the Penitentiary of new Mexico (located in Santa Fe County).
