The Senate Judiciary Committee amendment makes it clear that there will be five magistrates in the Dona Ana district. The bill creates a fifth magistrate division in that district.
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 198 appropriates $200.0 in recurring general fund to the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) for FY01. The appropriation is to fund salaries and benefits for an additional magistrate judgeship in Doña Ana County and three additional court clerks.
