SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 350 appropriates $200.0 from the general fund to the Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA) to implement Hispanic cultural programs throughout New Mexico. The appropriation would be used to develop programs that would celebrate New Mexico's Hispanic history, heritage and culture. The bill contains a clause that would require the OCA to revert any unexpended FY01 balance.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
Aside from the appropriation in the bill, there would be no fiscal impact on OCA from enacting Senate Bill 350.
ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS
The administrative impact of the bill is minor and the OCA could absorb the impact with its existing resources.
