SUMMARY



Synopsis of Bill



Senate Bill 394 appropriates $50.0 from the general fund to create a southeast New Mexico main street program regional director position.



FISCAL IMPLICATIONS



This bill make a general fund appropriation of $50.0 to the Local Government Division, DFA, for expenditure in FY01 for the purpose stated above. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY01 reverts to the general fund.



OTHER SUBSTANTIVE ISSUES



DFA indicates this appropriation belongs in the Economic Development Department, which already has an existing Main Street program.
