Synopsis of Bill
Senate Joint Memorial 58 "warmly" congratulates the College of the Southwest and all the student s and personnel involved in the "free enterprise" program at the college. The memorial further requests that the Legislature heartily endorses and joins Governor Johnson in proclaiming February 6 - 12 as "Teach a Child About business Week."
Significant Issues
The memorial endorses the economic system that has helped make the United States a great nation, and, by recognizing a program that teaches about the system and encourages its perpetuation. The free enterprise program is conducted in thirty New Mexico and involves students in grades K - 9.
