SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
The bill amends the Anatomical Gift Act such that 1) hospitals and procurement organizations must set up a protocol to identify and follow-up with potential donors; and 2) donations must stay in New Mexico unless a suitable New Mexican donee cannot be found within a responsible amount of time or the donation is part of a reciprocal agreement with another state.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The bill makes no appropriation.
