SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 25

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

45TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2001

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN CURRY COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the state highway and transportation department

forty thousand dollars ($40,000) for caliche and chip sealing on various county roads in Curry county, contingent upon a ten percent match from the county;

three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) for improvements to Curry county road 3 in Curry county, contingent upon a ten percent match from the county;

four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) for street repairs in Melrose in Curry county;

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) for road repairs in Curry county; and

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) for street repairs in Clovis in Curry county;

to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) to construct and furnish a city hall in Texico in Curry county; and

to the state department of public education

twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) for improvements in the Melrose public school district, including repairing and constructing bleachers and repairing roofs and walks, in Curry county.
