FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN ROOSEVELT COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the state highway and transportation department

seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) for a storm water channel on Industrial drive by the recreation complex in Portales in Roosevelt county;

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to replace curbs and gutters from south avenue O and west Eighteenth street to the city limits in Portales in Roosevelt county;

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for downtown street improvements, including lighting and engineering, in Portales in Roosevelt county; and

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) for road repairs in Roosevelt county;

to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to construct an animal shelter in Portales in Roosevelt county;

thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) for playground and park equipment in Portales in Roosevelt county;

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to make improvements, including designing, remodeling and equipping, the downtown community performing arts center in Portales in Roosevelt county;

seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to make improvements, including interior and exterior painting and re-roofing, to the Kenna community building in Kenna in Roosevelt county; and

to the state department of public education

seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to continue improvements to the Portales high school performing arts center in the Portales municipal school district in Roosevelt county.
