SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 198

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

45TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2001

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN JAL IN LEA COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the state agency on aging

twenty-eight thousand dollars ($28,000) to purchase a handicapped-accessible van for the senior citizens in Jal in Lea county;

to the department of environment

three hundred eighteen thousand dollars ($318,000) to drill a new water well in Jal in Lea county; and

seven hundred eighty-five thousand four hundred eighty-one dollars ($785,481) to replace the main water transmission line located outside the city limits in Jal in Lea county; and

to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

fifty-two thousand dollars ($52,000) to purchase a vehicle and to construct or purchase a central command post for the Jal fire department in Lea county; and

sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) to remove dangerous buildings and debris in Jal in Lea county.
