SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN ROOSEVELT COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the state highway and transportation department

four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) for road repairs, maintenance and improvements in Roosevelt county; and

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for curbs, gutters, pedestrian lighting and sidewalk improvements for the Portales mainstreet project in Roosevelt county; and

to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to construct an addition to the extension office in Roosevelt county;

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) for improvements to facilities at the Roosevelt county fairgrounds;

thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) to purchase and install radio equipment for the Roosevelt county sheriff's office;

twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) to construct a communications tower in southern Roosevelt county for enhanced public safety;

five hundred forty thousand dollars ($540,000) to remodel the county courthouse facilities and replace the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in Roosevelt county;

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to purchase a pumper and tanker truck for the fire department in Causey in Roosevelt county; and

one hundred eighty-five thousand dollars ($185,000) to acquire the property for, design, renovate, equip and furnish the Roosevelt county business development center.
