FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN SENATE DISTRICT 32 IN EDDY COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the state agency on aging

one hundred sixty-one thousand dollars ($161,000) to plan, design, construct and equip the addition of two activity rooms to the senior center in Artesia in Eddy county;

to the department of environment

one hundred twenty thousand dollars ($120,000) for water system improvements and the purchase of equipment for the Hope community ditch association water system in Eddy county; and

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to engineer and construct improvements, including a new storage tank and replacement of the existing distribution lines, to the Riverside water system in Eddy county;

to the board of regents of eastern New Mexico university

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) for improvements and equipment for the vocational training center in Artesia in Eddy county;

to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) to plan, design and construct an administrative and classroom facility for the head start center in Artesia in Eddy county;

sixty-one thousand eight hundred dollars ($61,800) to plan, design and construct improvements to the Otis community park in Eddy county;

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) for the mainstreet renovation project from First street to Seventh street in Artesia in Eddy county; and

four hundred seventy-eight thousand dollars ($478,000) to construct, equip and make improvements to the sheriff posse rodeo arena in Eddy county; and

to the office of the state engineer

three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) to plan, design, construct, equip and purchase water rights for a new well, storage tank and water lines to connect into the current Cottonwood rural water cooperative system in Eddy county.
