AN ACT

RELATING TO THE REDISTRICTING OF THE SENATE; ESTABLISHING SENATORIAL DISTRICTS FIVE AND SIX; REPEALING AND ENACTING SECTIONS OF THE NMSA 1978.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. Section 2-8C-11 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1991 (1st S.S.), Chapter 3, Section 11) is repealed and a new Section 2-8C-11 NMSA 1978 is enacted to read:

"2-8C-11. [NEW MATERIAL] SENATE DISTRICT FIVE.--Senate district five is composed of Los Alamos county precincts 13, 14, 16 and 17; Rio Arriba county precincts 2 through 5, 7 through 14, 18 through 20, 22, 23, 26, 27, 30 through 37 and 39 through 41; and Santa Fe county precincts 1, 58, 59 and 79."

Section 2. Section 2-8C-12 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1991 (1st S.S.), Chapter 3, Section 12) is repealed and a new Section 2-8C-12 NMSA 1978 is enacted to read:

"2-8C-12. [NEW MATERIAL] SENATE DISTRICT SIX.--Senate district six is composed of Mora county precinct 5; Rio Arriba county precincts 1, 6, 15 through 17 and 38; Santa Fe county precincts 2 through 7, 23, 60, 61 and 83; and Taos county."
