45th legislature - STATE OF NEW MEXICO - first special session, 2001

RECOGNIZING SENATORS BAILEY, HURT, LEAVELL AND SNYDER FOR THEIR SERVICE TO THE STATE UPON THEIR DEPARTURE FROM THE SENATE DUE TO REDISTRICTING.

WHEREAS, Senate Rules Committee Substitute for Senate Bill 2, now before the senate judiciary committee, will, if enacted and signed into law, eliminate those districts as we know them now represented by Senators Bailey, Hurt, Leavell and Snyder; and

WHEREAS, Shirley M. Bailey, Allen V. Hurt, Carroll H. Leavell and H. Diane Snyder have served this chamber and the state well and ably during their tenure;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that recognition, appreciation and goodbyes be extended to Senators Shirley M. Bailey, Allen V. Hurt, Carroll H. Leavell and H. Diane Snyder; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this memorial be transmitted to Senators Shirley M. Bailey, Allen V. Hurt, Carroll H. Leavell and H. Diane Snyder.
