HOUSE BILL 76

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, line 11, strike "CURRICULA" and insert in lieu thereof "STANDARDS AND BENCHMARKS".

2. On page 1, line 14, strike "TESTS" and insert in lieu thereof "CRITERIA".

3. On page 1, line 15, strike "PLACEMENT INTO", and strike "COURSES" and insert in lieu thereof "PLACEMENT ASSESSMENTS".

4. On page 1, line 20, strike "CURRICULA" and insert in lieu thereof "STANDARDS AND BENCHMARKS".

5. On page 1, line 22, strike "curricula" and insert in lieu thereof "standards and benchmarks".

6. On page 2, line 1, strike "tests" and insert in lieu thereof "criteria", and strike "placement into".

7. On page 2, line 2, strike "courses" and insert in lieu thereof "placement assessments".

8. On page 2, lines 3 through 6, strike Subsection C in its entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following new subsection:

"C. The department of education and the commission on higher education shall jointly implement the provisions of Subsections A and B of this section."".
