has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:



1. On page 6, line 14, after "nurse-midwife," insert "physician assistant,".



2. On page 15, line 18, after "nurse-midwife," insert "physician assistant,".



3. On page 25, lines 18 through 21, strike Paragraph (3).



4. Renumber the succeeding paragraphs accordingly.



5. On page 25, line 23, after "board" insert "and the New Mexico board of medical examiners".



6. On page 26, line 3, strike "consisting of intensive" and insert in lieu thereof "approved by the board and the New Mexico board of medical examiners and consisting of".



7. On page 26, line 19, after "experience" insert ", approved by the board and the New Mexico board of medical examiners,".



8. On page 26, line 24, after "board" insert "and the New Mexico board of medical examiners".



9. On page 27, line 20, after "board" insert "and the New Mexico board of medical examiners".

11. On page 28, line 2, after "shall" insert "inform the board and the New Mexico board of medical examiners that he is supervising the psychologist. The physician shall".



12. On page 28, between lines 13 and 14, insert the following paragraph:



"(2) has successfully undergone a process of independent peer review approved by the board and the New Mexico board of medical examiners;".



13. Renumber the succeeding paragraphs accordingly.



14. On page 30, line 15, after the period insert:



"The ongoing collaborative relationship shall be maintained pursuant to guidelines developed by the board and the New Mexico board of medical examiners, which shall optimize patient care. The guidelines shall ensure that the prescribing psychologist or the psychologist with a conditional prescription certificate and the treating physician coordinate and collaborate the care of the patient to provide optimal care. A committee composed of members of both boards shall be established and, pursuant to the guidelines, shall evaluate complaints. The committee shall report its findings and recommendations to each board for each board's appropriate actions.".



15. On page 31, line 8, after "board" insert "and the New Mexico board of medical examiners".



16. On page 31, line 12, after "pharmacy" insert "and the New Mexico board of medical examiners".



17. On page 31, line 14, after "board" insert ", the New Mexico board of medical examiners".



18. On page 32, between lines 2 and 3, insert the following section:



"Section 8. TEMPORARY PROVISION--PROGRESS REPORTS.--No later than December 1, 2002 and December 1, 2003, the New Mexico state board of psychologist examiners and the New Mexico board of medical examiners shall report to the governor and to the legislature on the progress made and any problems encountered in implementing the provisions of this act.".



19. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.
