AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR CONTINUATION OF A DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH BLACK TAR HEROIN PREVENTION PROGRAM.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 for continuation of a federally initiated black tar heroin prevention program in Rio Arriba and Santa Fe counties, including persons of the eight northern Indian pueblos. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
