AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR EDUCATIONAL TOURISM SERVICES TO INCREASE CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 to contract for provision of educational seminars for tribal businesses, programs, small tribal member-owned businesses and the general tourism industry; creating a newsletter to inform tribal tourism offices and to support networking of staffs in those offices; and establishing a web page to provide information on Indian tourism. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
