AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONTRACT FOR MARKET SURVEYS AND ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY ASSESSMENTS FOR THE CHAPTERS OF THE EASTERN AGENCY OF THE NAVAJO NATION.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million dollars ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 to contract for market surveys and economic feasibility assessments of the twenty chapters in the eastern agency of the Navajo Nation. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
