AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONTRACT FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND FINANCIAL PLANNING SERVICES FOR LOCAL FARMERS' AND GROWERS' MARKETS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 to contract with a nonprofit farmers' market organization, comprised of at least one hundred fifty members and administratively based in Santa Fe county, for business development, product development and financial planning services for local farmers' and growers' markets. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
