AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO FUND SERVICES FOR NATIVE AMERICAN VICTIMS OF HUMAN IMMUNODEFICIENCY VIRUS AND ACQUIRED IMMUNE DEFICIENCY SYNDROME.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred seventy-nine thousand dollars ($279,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to fund services for Native American victims of human immunodeficiency virus and acquired immune deficiency syndrome. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
