AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE CENTER FOR REGIONAL STUDIES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR COURSES ON NEW MEXICO AND THE AMERICAN SOUTHWEST.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 for the center for regional studies for support, curriculum development, research and instruction for courses related to New Mexico and the American southwest. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
