AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND AN EARLY CHILDHOOD DENTAL CARIES PROGRAM.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 for the health sciences center division of dental services to create a facilitated task force to coordinate efforts to develop a comprehensive early childhood caries program, including examination and evaluation of known fluoride varnish projects, and to cover training costs and data collection on desired outcomes for children receiving services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
