AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE OFFICE OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS TO IMPLEMENT AND OPERATE A PROGRAM FOR YOUTH EDUCATION IN THE PERFORMING ARTS IN SANTA FE COUNTY.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of cultural affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to implement and operate a program for youth education in the performing arts, including staging, lighting, sound production, technical production and participation in dance performances, orchestral performances, theatrical performances, opera performances and small ensemble performances. The program shall be conducted in a year-round performing arts center located in Santa Fe county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
